How could I ever express my feelings better to my one true love than with a bit of burnt cake?

I’ve never made proper cupcakes with swirly icing on top so I decided to go all out and treat my husband by making these beautiful Rolo cupcakes for Valentine’s Day.
But then I burnt them. Error.
They actually taste okay because of the amount of icing on the top! If you would like to make them yourself, you can find the recipe here.
