Cookie Recipe

15 Feb

These cookies are yummy and easy to make. Great to serve with tea and coffee for guests, or just to scoff yourself! They are also versatile (can you see a recurring theme with my recipes?!) and can have any type of chocolate added, or even raisins if you want to go for a healthier option. Makes around 14 cookies

  • 100g Soft Brown sugar
  • 100g Butter
  • 1 tbsp Golden Syrup
  • 150g Self Raising Flour
  • Around 100g of chocolate broken into chunks (or however much is left after you have been eating it!) OR a couple handfuls of raisins

 1. Preheat the oven to 160°
2. Mix the sugar and butter together until creamed. Add golden syrup.
3. Mix in half of flour slowly until well combined
4. Add chocolate/raisins and rest of flour and combine into cookie dough using fingers.
5. Separate into 14 dough balls and place on greased baking sheets allowing room for them to spread.
6. Cook in the oven for around 12-15 minutes, or until golden.

TIP: Leave the cookies to cool and harden for a few minutes before you transfer them to a cooling rack or they will fall apart!

Why not try using orange chocolate for an extra indulgent treat?
I hope you enjoy these Ali!
