Hello stranger, I propose a challenge

28 Apr

Oh dear, I’ve been rubbish again and haven’t written an entry for yonks. Things have been crazy here. Having said that even though I have been really busy I don’t have much of interest to report…It’s rubbish when your weeks are like that isn’t it?!

Our salsa lesson was the only real point of interest last week. They are still going really well (I think we are better than the video posted below by now!). I had a salsa CD through the post this morning so Josh and I will be practicing properly from now on (no more Ricky Martin!!!!!)

Right…that is all for now, hopefully I will have more of interest to report soon .

OH, one thing to add…I have set myself a challenge…

Apparently we should all be limiting ourselves to 4/5 minute showers in order to cut water consumption, so I’m on a mission this week to find out if this is feasible (because I love my long hot showers to get me going in the morning). I’ll let you know how it goes.

How NOT to Salsa

22 Apr

So, as you can see we’re not really that great at salsa dancing. I think our enthusiasm and amusement makes up for it though!

(P.S would just like to add that this video was not staged – we were videoing to try and perfect our technique as we have no mirror. I’m just gutted I didn’t video the previous dance we did as I accidently punched Josh in the face!)

Salsa and Snow

15 Apr

Hello all. Sorry this is a bit late, more of a weekend catch up really, but things have been a bit crazy lately and I haven’t been able to sit down and write an entry.

Anyway, our first salsa lesson was on Friday night. SOOOO MUCH FUN! I would recommend this to everyone and I can’t wait to go again! We are learning at Aberystwyth Arts Centre with Jan Arden. It’s a ten week course every Friday night for one and a half hours. We have already learnt a short routine and have been practicing it around the house. Josh is less keen than me but I’m trying to get him to loosen up and relax!

Then on Saturday we walked up Plynlymon and found some snow which was very exciting. We didn’t go up the main path but struck out across country on sheep paths from the other side of the mountain before picking up the path leading to the lake and making our way back to the car.
